Taylor Swift Eras Tour: Our Best Tips and Tricks

We live in such a special time because Taylor Swift is taking the world by storm as the Eras Tour circles the globe. Taylor has recently embarked on her European Summer portion of the tour, so here in Lyon, France we are counting down and highly anticipating her arrival!
In today’s post, let’s talk about our most helpful and functional tips for The Eras Tour so you can enjoy it to the fullest! We’re going to go into some Lyon specifics, but many of these tips apply to The Eras Tour in general, no matter what city you’re going to!

1) Have Your Tickets Ready
Theoretically, the hardest part of this experience should have been surviving those Ticketmaster queues. Now that you have your tickets in hand, let’s have smooth sailing into this concert, shall we?
Make sure your tickets are downloaded and opened in your Ticketmaster app and saved in your Apple Wallet. You'll need the in-app ticket for entry, but even take screenshots as a backup for an extra precaution! The wifi and cell service may not be strong at the venues because of the high volume of people. So verify all of this information day of before leaving your house or hotel and come prepared!
2) Plan Out Your Eras Tour Outfit
Imagine a Taylor Swift-themed Halloween celebration with 60,000 of your closest friends and you’ve got the Eras Tour! Depending on your style, you may have planned your Taylor Swift-inspired outfit out months in advance or you may still be deciding on your idea. Definitely look to Taylor’s music videos, the Eras Tour costumes, Pinterest, TikTok, or even your favorite song title for inspiration!
Amazon is really helpful for finding specific pieces, so make sure to place your order early to account for delivery time. Also, try on your costume in advance to make sure you like it, in case any last-minute adjustments or sizes need to be accommodated.
Additional pro tip: if you’re dealing with wrinkly pieces, pack a portable steamer to use while getting ready! These are so convenient, especially when you’re traveling.
3) Make The Friendship Bracelets
“You're On Your Own Kid” has a lyric that says “Make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.” Swifties took this and ran with it. It inspired a phenomenon of friendship bracelet trading at the Eras Tour!
We recommend making some bracelets in advance and packing them along with your outfit. You can also make bracelets in your hotel room or on Airbnb with your pals before the show!
At the concert, don’t be shy to go up to people and trade bracelets! That’s all part of the fun. Girlhood at its finest!
4) Adhere to the Bag Policy
Every stadium or arena has a different bag policy. In Lyon at the Groupama Stadium, their bag policy is as follows:
To ensure safety and swift access to the concert, Groupama Stadium enforces a strict bag policy. Only small bags or clutches are allowed, and all bags are subject to search. It's best to pack light to avoid long waits at the entry and enjoy the concert hassle-free.
What we recommend is wearing a clear fanny pack (which you can order on Amazon!) and taking only small essentials to the show. Bring any medications you need, some earplugs, lipstick, etc. and you should be all set to go!
5) Wear Comfy Shoes
The thing about The Eras Tour is that it is 3.5 hours long! Although Taylor can run around on stage in crazy shoes, you don’t have to! Be as comfortable as you can.
6) Keep the Party Going and Attend Additional Swiftie Events!
Oftentimes the whole city gets in on the Eras Tour by offering special themed events for fans to enjoy.
